QD nut assembly included

1.01 in. gold-coloured receptor holds the nylon finger

Nylon finger NOT included — uses the 33060P nylon finger (sold separately), per the FlexxiFloat 100 section on flexxifinger.com

Optional 20250.1 shoe with pin for the nylon finger tip — adds wear protection on the finger tip in uneven or rocky soil

Caution: some components are made of steel — exercise care to minimize possible damage to the header/combine

Installation

Install the QD nut assemblies first: starting 6 in. from the right side of the header and every 12 in. across, remove the guard nut and bolt; insert the supplied M10 hex head bolt from the bottom of the header, or the correct Flexxifinger carriage bolt if the header needs one (32310 for poly skid plates, 32312 for 7/16 in. carriage bolts, 32314 for 10 mm bolts); shim with washers so the rail sits parallel to the guard (Case IH, MacDon and New Holland generally 4–8 USS; John Deere 1–4 USS on top of the cast knife hold-down; Schumacher 4 SAE)

Slide the lifter snout over the guard with the rail spring side up and push the rail all the way into the rail slot on the QD nut until the spring snaps down evenly into place; check knife clearance with the lifter moved fully side to side and up and down

The lifter must remain free to move and free-float about 1/4 in. to 1/2 in. up, down and side to side — never install a bolt or set screw in the hole at the top of the lifter rail to create a snug fit

Tighten all QD nuts to 60 ft-lb (81 Nm); the QD nuts can remain on the header even when the lifters are not being used; adjust the cutting bar to negative 5 degrees

Install the nylon finger into the receptor: rest the back of the receptor between and on top of the jaws of a vise (the receptor may be removed if necessary); slide the finger tail down into the front of the receptor, matching the flat section of the receptor with the flat section on the finger body like a key into a lock; tap firmly with a rubber mallet or hammer until the finger has bottomed completely into the receptor (a multipurpose lubricant helps; do not force it if the flat sections are misaligned); rotate the finger 90 degrees with pliers or a wrench to lock it into place, correct side down; reattach the receptor with the carriage bolt and lock nut if it was removed

Adjust the lifter angle: the adjustment screw changes the angle of the arm — keep the arm angle about 5 degrees for the most flexibility of the front end over dips, bumps and obstacles; over-tightening the adjustment screw reduces flexibility and increases the chance of damaging the lifter or header; make the final finger-angle adjustment only by loosening the carriage bolt at the receptor, pivoting the finger no more than 25 degrees to the ground, then tightening the carriage bolt

Combine 100 ft, then readjust the angle of the nylon fingers and lifters as required; set lifters while the combine is in the field, as the combine tires may sink lower than ground level; centre the header reel over the cutter bar so the reel tines pick the crop up from the lifters, not from the ground ahead of them

Full instructions: FlexxiFloat 100 Installation &
