FLEX70406 TRIPLE S HIGHLIFT LIFTER

Prix:
C$114.99

Description

  • Triple S HighLift crop lifter — all-metal lifter with an adjustable spring steel tail
  • For tall, heavy crops; recommended for auger headers; lifts heads higher above the knife than the MidCut or European and helps stand the crop up in front of the auger for more efficient threshing
  • Generally leaves 75–100 mm (3–4 in.) stubble; higher ground speeds are achievable in most situations
  • Sold individually

Technical data

  • Universal-fit rail — fits all systems that have a guard finger in front of the knife; attaches to the header with patented QD quick-detach technology and can be removed or installed in 3–5 minutes per header after the initial installation
  • Highly adjustable eyestrap pivot lets the operator set the lifter angle to suit the header or crop, and lets the lifters be configured on the header to work in unison
  • Adjustable spring steel tail INCLUDED — no nylon finger on this lifter; the adjustable tail length lets the lifter be customized to suit the crop and field conditions, including adjustments helpful on Vario-style headers
  • In the box: lifter rail, barrel nut and riser, metal tail, QD nut assembly
  • All-metal lifter — caution must be exercised by the combine operator to minimize the potential of damaging the header/combine

Installation

  • Install the QD nut assemblies first: starting 6 in. from the right side of the header and every 12 in. across, remove the guard nut and bolt; insert the supplied M10 hex head bolt from the bottom of the header, or the correct Flexxifinger carriage bolt if the header needs one (32310 for poly skid plates, 32312 for 7/16 in. carriage bolts, 32314 for 10 mm bolts); shim with washers so the rail sits parallel to the guard (Case IH, MacDon and New Holland generally 4–8 USS; John Deere 1–4 USS on top of the cast knife hold-down; Schumacher 4 SAE)
  • Slide the lifter snout over the guard with the rail spring side up and push the rail all the way into the rail slot on the QD nut until the spring snaps down evenly into place; check knife clearance with the lifter moved fully side to side and up and down
  • The lifter must remain free to move and free-float about 1/4 in. to 1/2 in. up, down and side to side — never install a bolt or set screw in the hole at the top of the lifter rail to create a snug fit
  • Tighten all QD nuts to 60 ft-lb (81 Nm); the QD nuts can remain on the header even when the lifters are not being used; adjust the cutting bar to negative 5 degrees
  • Adjust the lifter angle with the eyestrap: using a 3/4 in. wrench, loosen the adjustment bolt, then lift or lower the eye strap to change the angle of the lifter; the ideal operating condition is achieved when the riser is angled at 25 degrees; set the lifters 1/4 in. to 3/4 in. from the ground, with the back half of the shoe — not the point — contacting the ground first, as a point-first setting is likely to break the lifter during use and may damage the harvesting equipment; set all lifters to the same angle so they form a straight line when viewed down the row, then tighten the adjustment bolt on all lifters
  • Adjust the tail length (HighLift only): loosen the set screws on the brim of the riser, pull out or push in the tail to the required length to accommodate the crop — the tail must not exceed 5 in. past the brim of the riser, as a longer tail increases the likelihood of damage to the lifter or harvest equipment — then tighten the set screws; set the reel so its upward motion begins where the lifter tail ends, and if possible adjust the reel fingers so they are 20 degrees advanced at the tip of the finger compared to the bar of the reel
  • Combine 100 ft, then readjust the angle of the lifters as required; set lifters while the combine is in the field, as the combine tires may sink lower than ground level; centre the header reel over the cutter bar so the reel tines pick the crop up from the lifters, not from the ground ahead of them; observe the lifters at cutting height while slowly driving over a path that has already been harvested and readjust any lifters not working in unison

Tips & tricks

  • General recommendation: one lifter per foot across the header
  • Use the eyestrap angle adjustment to suit the header or crop, and set every lifter to the same angle so the row works in unison
  • Use the adjustable spring steel tail length to suit the crop and field conditions — never more than 5 in. past the brim of the riser
  • Best for tall, heavy crops on auger headers, where lifting heads higher above the knife and standing the crop up in front of the auger improves threshing; leaves 75–100 mm stubble
  • All-metal caution: use extreme caution over irrigation ruts, sprayer and tractor ruts, large cracks and other uneven ground
  • Number each lifter with a paint pen before removing them so each one goes back to the spot it was adjusted for
